My Healing Home equips families of children impacted by trauma and adversity with TBRI® training, support, and coaching. We help caregivers create safe spaces for healing, understanding, connection, and restored attachment.
TBRI is an attachment-based, evidence-based, and trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children.
TBRI uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors.

My Healing Home serves families and caregivers of at-risk children along Utah's Wasatch Front and beyond. Our services are available for all areas and levels of care from individual homes, schools and classrooms, residential facilities, juvenile justice system, CASAs, private and government agencies, and more.
Fifteen years ago, Aimee and Ryan Snow welcomed two young sons from Ghana into their family. Before finding their forever home, their boys had endured significant and complex trauma. Like many adoptive and foster families, the Snows quickly realized that love alone was not enough to heal the deep wounds left by early adversity.
As Aimee searched for meaningful mental health support, she encountered a frustrating reality: there were few therapeutic programs that truly addressed complex developmental trauma in practical, family-centered ways. Determined to find answers, she discovered Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), developed through the work of Dr. Karyn Purvis. For the first time, she found a framework that brought both hope and clarity.
After faithfully applying TBRI® principles in her own home, Aimee witnessed powerful transformation. As her family experienced growth and healing, other parents, educators, and caregivers began reaching out for guidance. What began as informal conversations soon grew into something more. Aimee started a monthly family support group at the local library, where families gathered to study Dr. Purvis’s work and learn practical tools for supporting children from “hard places.”
As word spread, it became clear that the need extended far beyond one small group. Families across the Wasatch Front were struggling in isolation, lacking access to trauma-informed training and consistent support. In response to this growing need, Aimee formally established My Healing Home and, in 2020, filed as a nonprofit organization to expand its reach and impact.
Committed to deepening her expertise, Aimee became a certified TBRI® Practitioner and returned to school to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies from BYU–Idaho. Her personal experience parenting children who have experienced complex trauma, combined with professional training and community advocacy, has made her a trusted and respected voice for families navigating similar journeys.
Today, My Healing Home serves families, caregivers, schools, and agencies across Utah, providing TBRI® training, coaching, conferences, and collaborative systems of care. Since 2020 alone, the organization has served over 350 families and caregivers — and the need continues to grow. What began as one woman’s effort has expanded into a dedicated team; My Healing Home now has five trained TBRI® Practitioners working together to equip and support families throughout the region.
At its heart, My Healing Home was born from one family’s search for healing. It has grown into a community movement rooted in the belief that children from hard places can thrive when surrounded by informed, supported, and connected adults.
What began as a mother’s determination to help her own children heal has grown into a mission to ensure that no family walks this journey alone.
